Parents, Coaches, and Program Directors,

We are looking forward to getting our first tournament of the summer underway.

Tournament rules can be found here: https://www.585baseball.com/rules

Please take a moment to review the rules and adhere to all facility-specific guidelines.

Facility Notes:

• Eastridge and McQuaid Jesuit are turf facilities.

No metal cleats
No gum
No sunflower seeds
• SUNY Brockport is an all-natural grass facility. The field is maintained and prepared by the college coaches and players between games, and we are fortunate to have access to such a quality venue. Please treat it with the utmost respect.

• Penfield Town Hall is a natural grass facility. It will be dragged and prepared prior to games. The dugouts are a bit smaller than some venues but should be more than adequate for the 13U and 14U age groups.

Roster & Insurance Reminder

If you have not already done so, please upload your roster and proof of insurance to your Exposure Events account. If you are unable to do so, you may email them to info@585baseball.com as soon as possible.

Scores & Standings

Scores will be reported to me by our site supervisors and entered into Exposure as quickly as possible. If you notice a scoring error or discrepancy, please contact us immediately and we will verify and correct it if necessary.

Baseball Retrieval

Coaches, I am asking for your help with foul ball retrieval throughout the weekend. Please have players on your side of the field proactively retrieving baseballs. Site supervisors have been instructed to limit the number of baseballs used per game. Last year we had games using up to a dozen baseballs because foul balls were not being retrieved consistently.

Again, I am asking coaches to help set the standard and be proactive with this throughout the weekend.

Facility Cleanliness

Please treat every facility as if it were your own. Coaches, I am depending on you to ensure your dugout is cleaned up and left in proper condition before departing after each game.

We will have field supervisors at every site throughout the weekend who will be monitoring facilities and helping ensure expectations are being met.

Thank you for your cooperation, and best of luck to all teams this weekend.
