These complexes do share a parking lot but be aware of which fields your games will be played on each day. Please be aware, especially at the North Glynn property.
GATE FEES FOR THE WEEKEND
Cash, Credit and Debit accepted.
Spectators that watch from beyond the outfield fence will pay the gate fees as well. They can pay at the complex entrance or our staff will periodically come by to collect the gate fees.
Most gate workers are high school students and poor behavior towards them will not be tolerated!!
Adults - $10.00 per person per day
Seniors 65yrs+ - $7.00 per person per day
Kids 10yrs and above - $7.00 per person per day

BATTING CAGES
North Glynn Complex (inside each facility as well next to the playground between the two complexes).
At Wainwright, there are not cages that can be utilized by your teams but there is a football-sized athletic field behind the fields that can be utilized. Please come prepared for your pre-game with the knowledge of no access to cages.
THE WEATHER
Summer beach weather comes with the chance of scattered thunderstorms everyday. Please DOWNLOAD OUR PHONE APP FOR UPDATES. Download the phone app, and sign-up to receive alerts via your phone – SOUTHERNSPORTSPROMOTIONS. When we have delays or schedule changes, this is how we will communicate.
SKILLS CONTEST
The Thursday skills contest is scheduled to start at approximately 6:30pm at the North Glynn Softball Complex (weather permitting & conclusion of games). The event includes fastest man, fastest bat, and around the horn. Coaches have been asked to submit names of players participating.
PIN TRADING
Although pin trading can happen throughout the event, the scheduled pin trading will take place on Thursday, once teams begin to arrive for the skills competition at the North Glynn softball complex. Pin Trading is an independent activity where the players will be able to move around and "mingle" with other players during the skills event and trade their pins..
CONDUCT/SPORTSMANSHIP
We hope that this weekend will be a great experience for everyone. We must remind everyone of our policy on behavior at our events......below is in our rules...
Southern Sports Promotions, and all facilities we participate at during our events, have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on behavior by players, parents, and coaches. This includes, but is not limited to,
- possession of alcohol on park property
- use of foul language
- any type harassment towards players, parents, coaches, umpires, gate entry personnel, tournament officials, park staff or others
- interference with games
Any individual who conducts themselves in an unsportsmanlike manner is subject to removal from the tournament, and from the park property, without further explanation. ALL head coaches are responsible for the behavior of their team. If it is deemed necessary, the head coach can be ejected from the game due to behavior of his/her players, parents, coaches, or team spectators. In extreme situations, teams can also forfeit games due to the behavior of their coaches, players, parents or team spectators.
WE HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYS THE WEEK AT THE BEACH, AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS!!

SKILLS COMPETITION & PIN TRADING
We will host pin trading and a skills competition with awards for each division and every category winner. Competitions to include the fastest man and team around the horn. (see details at the end of this page)
FORMAT
3 pool play games into a single-elimination tournament.
Bracket play will begin either Saturday afternoon or Sunday, depending on how many teams participate.
AWARDS
WORLD SERIES RINGS for 1st and 2nd place teams in each age group.
STAY TO PLAY EVENT
This is a "stay to play event". Any team traveling over 75 miles to play IS REQUIRED to stay in one of the tournament hotels. The majority of all area hotels and resorts will be options for teams.
If a team chooses to opt out of the "stay to play" program (and make their own reservations), there will be a $250 per team fee to opt-out with no exception.
When we designed this tournament, we tried to make the entry fee as inexpensive as possible. Most teams will need lodging for this event, so by using a travel partner, this was a way to reduce the entry fee. But we understand that some teams will want to rent homes, use hotel points, etc., so that's why we offer both.
A team will have considered meeting this requirement by booking 35 rooms (12 rooms a night x 3 nights).
We will determine final age groups by May 25. Do not book anything that doesn't allow you to cancel your rooms without a fee prior to that date.
Here is the link to the stay and play website. Rooms must be booked thru this link.

SCHEDULING REQUESTS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME
Southern Sports Promotions makes every effort to accommodate a team’s scheduling request. Sometimes requests cannot be honored but we do consider ALL requests.
IF THIS EVENT IS COMPLETELY CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER, OR A TEAM ONLY PLAYS 1, 2 OR 3 GAMES, BECAUSE OF THE EXPENSES OF RUNNING THIS OUT-OF-TOWN TOURNAMENT, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.
SKILLS COMPETITION DETAILS
Below is a description of each event for the skills competition.....the skills competition is expected to start about 45-60 minutes after the last games are completed on Thursday afternoon (weather permitting). In years past, this would be at approximately 6:45pm.
1) Fastest Man - 1 player per team will participate. The player is timed running from home plate around all bases concluding when they cross the plate. The fastest time in each group will be the champion.
2) Around the Horn – multiple players can participate. This event will be a timed throw from home plate to 3B to 2B to 1B back to home plate (and repeated for a second time within the same timed sequence). Teams can have multiple players in order to maximize the number of players involved. The fastest time in each age group will be the champion.
The player who is receiving the throw is the only that can retrieve an uncaught throw.
3) Fastest Bat - 1 player per team will participate. (Max Velo off the tee will be measured from 3 swings off the tee). Fastest Velo in each age group will be the champion.
PIN TRADING
For teams that bring pins to trade, this can happen throughout the weekend but typically takes place during the skills competition on Thursday night as well.
All event related questions should be directed to Southern Sports Promotions at southernsportsllc@gmail.com or call 678-463-2665.
