NYEB Battle of the Bats (9u - 18u) 2 Day Event Documents

Coaches-Players-Parents,

After collectively discussing field conditions with each maintenance crew, it has been determined that ALL fields for Sunday are canceled.

Seems that Mother Nature has decided to play a negative part in playing baseball this weekend.

On a positive note, the summer forecast is predicted to be dry and warm. With that being said we have plenty of Tournaments remaining.

Realize that many of them are getting close to capacity, so if you plan on playing sign up sooner than later.

All-

Sundays schedule is now posted.

Each team will end up playing 2 games due to the shortened schedule

Winners and runner-ups for each division, will be awarded First and Second place with our normal awards.


Tie-breakers may come into effect.

Here are our tie-breaker rules for this event:


Two Way Tie
1. Head to Head between tied teams
2. Runs Allowed
3. Runs Scored
4. Common opponent- Runs Scored then Runs allowed if needed
5. Coin Flip


Three (or more) Tie
1. Runs Allowed
2. Runs Scored
3. Coin Flip

***There is NO head to head used in any scenario with 3 or more teams tied***

We are in the process of figuring out a schedule for tomorrow. Once we have it ironed out it will be posted.

Of course it could very well change later today if the weather continues to rain.

On a seperate note, Parents and Coaches need to understand that we send out updates as soon as we can. We cannot field calls or text messages within minutes of canceling todays games and tell you what is the plan for tomorrow.

We need to assess what games were played, if some were not completed and make a schedule based off that. Calling or texting doesn't allow us to work on what is needed for everyone.

All games at Delano are cancled for today

All games at Kristi Babcock complex are canceled for today (KB #1, KB #2, KB #3, KB #4)

All games at Town of New Windsor Little League complex are canceled for today

Games at Town of Newburgh Little League Complex (#1 and #5) are canceled for today.

Games are still going on.

We have experienced some off and on showers but fields are playable at this time

If we have any changes in the schedule we will notify you via the app, and on the front page of our website.
