Good luck to all of our teams today! A few very important things today:

1. HOME / AWAY - today is "Higher or Better seed" gets CHOICE of Home or Away

2. Time Limit - Is still in place EXCEPT for THE championship game of each age group. (For 1st/2nd place of the tournament of each age group) Consolation/Silver/Bronze are still time limit.

3. Good Sportsmanship - PLEASE - practice good sportsmanship today!

Before these 14u brackets go live. (The last game is ending at this moment). Here is the tie breaker rule which is posted on our website:
"Tiebreakers after pool play are as follows in order:"
Head-toHead (if like opponents), Run Differential (Max +/-runs),
Runs Allowed, Runs Scored, Last Game Actual Differential, Coin Flip)

Triple Crown Tie Breaker Procedures

Just to notify everyone at once since there are teams playing multiple age groups. All brackets have been posted EXCEPT for the 14u. Those games are near completion. We will update the 14u once the final games are complete. Thank you for your patience!

Good Evening:

If you are receving this message, thank you for following the Triple Crown Sports app and submitting your roster. I wanted to first thank everyone for attending this weekend. Please, this is a competitive tournament, but be courteous to each other, the officials and our staff. We have worked very hard to put together a good event. Let's let the kids play the game and keep it clean.

IMPORTANT:
1. I emailed all the Coaches this morning. Games originally scheduled at JAMESTOWN HIGH SCHOOL HAVE BEEN MOVED. They won their regional and have to use their field this weekend this just happened. Check the schedule if you had games scheduled there tomorrow. The website and tournament app have been updated. Those games will be played at James Blair Middle School. I gave coaches a heads up this was a last minute change and James Blair does not have bleachers. So bring those chairs! Congrats to Jamestown HS in their run for the State Championship! This effects the 14u age group only.

2. Saturday / CSE/Top Prospects Testing - Is scheduled to take place at Warhill Sports Complex starting at 8am. They will be using the third base pitching mound where there is 1 (one) mound. There are 2 (two) on the first base side. Please both teams use the 1st base mounds on Saturday to accomodate the free testing. Testing will take place in the common area down the left field spectator area of Field 5. Testing is for 14u teams only.

3. COURTESY RUNNERS - This weekend I have also told via email to coaches/adminstrators, our umpires and site directors. Last batted out may run for the pitcher and catcher. This is an experiment and based on feedback from our teams. Will help speed up playing time help your game in a time limit situation. It's also good for your pitcher and catcher. So hope you like it. Your welcome. This is NOT what is in our written rules You have been informed.

4. Merchandise Saturday - Will be at the MacReynolds Complex in Yorktown. We will have a number of Triple Crown East Coast Baseball shirts and a limited number of caps for purchase. Sunday we plan to have it available at Warhill Field 5 as well in Williamsburg.

5. Good Luck! Have Fun! If you are able the Penninsula Co-Pilots (Coastal Plains League Team) have a home game in Hampton tomorrow night for those that are interested in attending.

The schedule for this weekend's Virginia State Championship is now posted online at Virginia State Championship Tournament 2023 under the "Virginia, Virgina State Championships" tab.

I also CANNOT STRESS enough how important it is to have EVERYONE! Coaches, players, parents, siblings to download the Triple Crown Sports App. If you have a smart phone go to the app store. Type in Triple Crown Sports. Download the app it's free. Click on Baseball. Virginia State Championships.

The app contains an up to the minute schedule (if there are any changes that occur due to weather, emergencies etc.). It also has results, standings, and when pool play is done the brackets will be posted there. In addition the pitching inning counts will be updated there. Please be patient it takes about 15-20 min after a game ends to post it. We will also send out push notifications throughout the weekend as necessary.
