Below are several items that we would like to communicate to you and your team. Please forward the information to your families.

NO METAL SPIKES ON TEMPORARY MOUNDS!!

HELMETS ARE ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY IN THE BATTING CAGES FOR ANY PLAYER!!

EVENT RULES
The head coach of every team is 100% responsible for knowing our rules/guidelines, and managing their team according to the rules that are posted on our website as well as our phone app. This includes the behavior of their coaches, players and fans.

LANIER POINT & THE COOP – INDIVIDUAL GATE FEE
We will collect gate fees as spectators enter the facility:
ADULTS: $10 each
SENIORS 65+/KIDS 9+ yrs: $7.00 each
UNDER 8yrs: FREE
** Poor behavior towards our gate workers (most of whom are students) will not be tolerated**

SCOREBOARDS - all the scoreboards are operational
Lanier Point - parents and coaches and keep the scoreboard via the "Single Source" phone app

BLUE UMPIRE CARDS
During every game, umpires will keep a "blue card" that details your score and innings pitched. At the conclusion of the game, you will sign the card making it OFFICIAL. PLEASE make sure that this card has correct information (scores/pitching records) on it BEFORE signing it. Changes are not made after these cards are submitted to the onsite director and posted, unless it is a data entry error when posting the information.

ROSTERS & WAIVERS
Online rosters AND all player waivers ARE required to be in our system prior to games beginning on Sunday. See "local" rules for more details.

ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
After this week's event, the SSP All-Tournament Team from the tournament will be announced mid-week. Coaches, Umpires, and On-site Directors will have the opportunity to nominate any player on any of the teams in the event. The deadline to submit names will be Monday at 6pm.

COACHES AND PARENTS - DOWNLOAD OUR PHONE APP -
BEST in travel baseball….download it at SOUTHERNSPORTSPROMOTIONS. All coaches, and parents who download the app for your team and sign up for alerts, will receive weather related updates as well as all scores, scheduling and bracket information. THIS WILL BE THE MAIN METHOD OF COMMUNICATION DURING THE EVENT.

BEHAVIOR AND CONDUCT
Southern Sports Promotions, and all our facility partners, have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on behavior of players, parents, and coaches. This includes, but is not limited to, - possession of alcohol on park property - use of foul language - any type harassment towards players, parents, coaches, umpires, tournament officials, park staff or others – and any interference with games.
Any individual who conducts themselves in an unsportsmanlike manner is subject to removal from the tournament, and from the park property, without further explanation. All head coaches are responsible for the behavior of their team. If it is deemed necessary, the head coach can be ejected from the game due to behavior of his/her players, parents, coaches, or team spectators. In extreme situations, teams can also forfeit games due to the behavior of their coaches, players, parents or team spectators.

SEVERE WEATHER GUIDELINES
The goal is everyone's safety while at the park facility. SSP severe weather policy is something that all coaches and families must to be familiar with as we begin our fall season. If the event is stopped due to lightning:
- All spectators, coaches, players and parents MUST seek shelter immediately until the lightning threat has ended. SSP will notify everyone via website or phone app.
- No one is allowed on the fields, in the dugouts, or in the batting cages during a weather delay.
- When seeking shelter, everyone MUST leave the common areas of the park and enter a safe shelter. Essentially, this means for everyone to go get in their vehicles and remain inside until the threat has cleared.

Sunday's tournament schedule will be posted by midnight tonight.

The best ways to view the schedule:

1) the event webpage on our website at https://www.southernsportspromotions.com/

2) on our phone app (southernsportspromotions)

All families should download the phone app, and signup for alerts. The phone app shows schedules, scores, standings, brackets, rules, weather alerts, changes during the event and other important information!

Beginning this fall, Southern Sports is requiring a signed waiver for every player on your team. It is mandatory that all players have this form authorized/signed in our system prior to particpating in our events.

Families on your team should have already received an email about completing the form.

There are a few things to know in order to make this a seamless process:

1) Make sure your rosters are complete in your Exposure Events account for this event.
2) Make sure each player has a parent/guardian email included in their roster information.
3) On your dashboard, you will see an icon that will show if your players have a signed waiver received.
4) If your player does not have a signed waiver, please choose the option to re-send the request, and also communicate with the family by some other method in order to alert them of the request coming to the inbox (but possibly spam folders.

Once this is completed one time, the flyer should remain with your team/player for the rest of the season.
