Shamrock Challenge Divisions

Good Evening Coaches,

A couple updates for this weekend, We are aware of the snow for this weekend. NOAA.gov has already dubunked the "20 inches" of snow for sunday as reported by apple weather. We are expecting at this time 3-6" of snow ofr the day and into the evening. We are planning on being open and ready to play ball.

Also coin flip will be used to decide home and away for all pool play games. The system made up put home and away statuses to allow us to schedule the games.

At this time we don not have pitch counts established but if needed we will establish them. You know your pitchers better than i do so please do not force us to enforce a pitch count.

We do not have a maximum or minimum barrel size.

And also I have attached the rules as I forgot to attach them last night.

If you are using batting cages, we ask you use one batting cage per team to allow others to be able to warm up their team as well.

First of all I would like to welcome you to the Shamrock Challenge. My name is Christopher Bormann, and I am the tournament director at OAW Indoor Sports facility. You will find the rules attached. Please enter your players onto the roster page. A link will be sent to you. In the Players email section please enter the parent/guardian email as that’s where the waiver link will be sent. If you have not completed the waiver/roster yet, no worries there is still time. If it is not recorded by your first game, you will not be able to play until it is received. Please check your schedule as the times have changed.

I am here to help make your tournament more enjoyable and to answer all your questions. Please see the links below and the facility/game play rules attached to the email. If there is an issue at the facility, please let me know and I will handle it. If a parent has an issue they are to go to the head coach and we will work together to resolve it.

A few reminders,

Ø There is a gate-fee for all spectators. The gate is cashless. Doors will open at 7am

o $10 for adults’ single day/$15 for the weekend
o $5 for seniors/veterans
o $5 per person between the ages of 13-18
o No charge for the players, coaches (max three coaches per team per day), and children 12 and under.

Ø The following items are prohibited from being brought in

o Weapons
o Wagons/equipment carts
o Outside food and beverages
o Non-service animals
o Tobacco is prohibited anywhere inside the facility.
o Cleats (No cleats allowed)

Please make sure this message is forwarded to your team to avoid any issues on gameday. We will be going to a cashless gate entry system for this weekend's event. You can prebuy your tickets here:

You will receive an email after purchase with a QR Code that you will show to our gate personnel to receive your wristband. You can buy as many as you need and forward the code to anyone you are buying for like a grandparent or friend/relative. Once a ticket is redeemed it cannot be used again, but the code can be used again if multiple tickets are on there. This will make entry on gameday go faster than if buying at the gate. We will not accept any cash payments at the gate if you do not prebuy will need to have a credit card to purchase at the gate
