We look forward to hosting you May 8-10 at the May Madness baseball tournament. Games begin on Friday, May 8 and will go through Sunday, May 10.

Below, you will find some helpful information about the tournament that may assist you. Feel free to forward to your parents.


ALL TEAMS MUST FOLLOW / LIKE OUR SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS FOR IMPORTANT UPDATES REGARDING THE TOURNAMENT SCHEDULES. ALL WEATHER UPDATES, TIME & RULE MODIFICATIONS, SCHEDULE CHANGES, WILL BE POSTED TO THESE ACCOUNTS.


If a coach does not have or use our social media platform you will need to designate a parent or person responsible for following our updates.

Teams are allowed to bring coolers and grills to the parks; however, grills are not allowed through the main gates of the field complex at Whaley Park. They will need to remain in the parking lot/team areas.

Pets are not allowed at any of the parks unless they are licensed service animals.

RESTROOMS:

There are fully functional indoor restrooms at Broome Park, Clio Sports Complex, Otisville Baseball Complex, and Whaley Park. (all locations)

ROSTERS and INSURANCE:

All teams must submit their rosters prior to the opening pitch of the tournament; Friday, May 8 at 12pm will be the deadline. You shall submit your team roster via email at Flintbaseballsoftball@gmail.com


Teams are required to have their own insurance in order to play in this event. By agreeing to play in this event, you have indicated that you have team insurance. A copy or screenshot of your insurance certificate shall be carried with you at all times.


RULES:

All rules can be found at www.GFABSAtournaments.com under the Rules tab or in the documents section of the Exposure Events page. We will follow these rules unless otherwise noted. Tournament and/or site directors may need to adjust rules as needed. I have provided the links to the rules below.

In the case of weather/game issues that cause the tournament to get off schedule. Time limits may be altered for divisions or fields. This will only be used in an emergency situation in order to make sure the tournament concludes before dark.

T-SHIRTS: (MUST ORDER ONLINE)

Tournament shirts can be purchased at the link provided below. Shirts will be packed and delivered to the fields at which time a coach or designee shall retrieve the entire team's order.

WEATHER:

If there is an elevated chance we experience short periods of bad weather this weekend. We will make every attempt to play every game on the schedule. Please know that we would use the tiebreaker formulas to seed championship games and/or announce winners, in the event we cannot play all pool or bracket play games.

Order of procedure on weather delays:

Postpone games until field conditions improve
Shorten time limits in order to play all scheduled games
Eliminate pool play games and advance to bracket games
Use tiebreaker formulas to play a championship game only
Cancel all games and use the tiebreaker formula to determine champion and runner up.

COACHES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR UNDERSTANDING ANY/ALL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS COACHES PACKET.

Revenue generated from our tournaments goes back into our parks, fields, buildings, etc… We cannot keep these parks operational without your support.
