NYEB Spring Challenge (9u-14u) 2 Day Event Schedule

This is the first time in 18 years that we have experienced this!!!

So to make sure everyone understands, This weekends event (Both Saturday and Sunday) is canceled.

Lets hope that after this weekend winter goes away for the remainder of the year!!

All teams have a FULL CREDIT to be used within 1 year. Our next event is 5/3 & 5/4 with limited openings in the 12u & 13u division. Should you be interested in using your credi for that event email me at

I will transfer your credit and registration over. As I said it is limited on openings so whatever teams want to use their credit, they will be entered until the spots are filled.

All,
Between emails, texts and calls we have fielded almost 100 between yesterday and today!!

Understand that it is difficult to make a decision on Saturday's event, two days in advance, if field conditions have not deteriorated to the point of being unplayable.

While we see the same forecast that everyone else does, making a decision on JUST a forecast more than 24 hours in advance most likely will never happen.

We also cannot answer every call, email or text from parents. Coaches are the ones who parents need to contact regarding anything to do with weather questions.

We have been monitoring our areas weather all morning and will have a little more information after 5pm. Our goal has been, and always will be, to get an event in providing we can have field conditions that are acceptable.

As I said in my previous message some cell phones may not be able to access our tournament app. Seems there is an issue with a driver being used with the apple builder that is being worked on.

I made it pretty easy for anyone to bypass the app and go to our NYEB Tournament web page to gather the same info.

Just go to your web browser and type in

www.newyorkelitebaseball.net

Click the right side option that says "Enter Tournament Site"

In the middle of the page it takes to, you will see an icon that says VIEW SCHEDULE. Click on that and you will be able to access all the info our app normally provides.

I would first try the app as plenty of users still have access. Should you have any questions you can feel free to contact me and I will guide you through the process. The schedules for this coming weekend are now posted

Coaches & Parents-

We are 1 week away from the NYEB 2025 Opening Tournament Spring Challenge (4/12 & 4/13).

Schedules will be posted by Monday. A few Items that need to be taken care of by you:


1. You need to enter your roster online. In the past we have allowed some of you to email this to us. We cannot do that anymore. It is a simple process to do online (instructions will be added at the bottom of this email). The reason it needs to be online is so we can access this at any given time via our website. Once you have entered this, as long as you register your team for another event the roster carries with you. You can easily delete, freeze and add a player in no time.
***All teams are required to have a copy of their players birth certificates with them in case a team challenges a players age. We do not check them prior to this***

2. NYEB needs TWO insurance certificates from you. Below is what needs to be listed as the additional insured:

3. We will be sending information out about tournament shirts. We will always have limited shirts that are not pre-ordered. ANY communication regarding T-shirts is to go to:

4. Kristi Babcock fields have portable mounds and as such METAL cleats are not allowed when pitching.

6. NYEB supplies 4 baseballs per game. If a game needs more than that each team is required to provide them evenly.



7. DOGS are not allowed at any of the parks we use. If you choose to bring your pets DO NOT be surprised when someone asks you to either put them in the car or leave with them. This is strictly because of potential liability issues.


8. In case of weather issues Coaches will be notified via email. Emails go out to the coaches who are listed on the teams registration. If you have a coach listed with NO email they will not get a notice.

9. There has been some update issues with our Tournament App. The company we are using has been working with APPLE to fix it. All game info can be accessed from our website as an alternative source if your app doesn't work. I will be sending out another email guiding you to where you can easily access this by Monday.

10. This is our code of conduct for Coaches, players and parents. It IS the coaches responsibility to handle any request by an umpire or staff member in regards to this:

New York Elite Baseball is committed to serving Coaches, Players, Umpires and Spectators by providing a secure, comfortable, and enjoyable experience at all of our venues. This Code of Conduct has been instituted to make sure that your experience is consistent with our commitment.

We ask you to help us maintain a positive game day experience by adhering to the following:

• Fans will be treated in a consistent, professional and polite way by all staff and team personnel.

• Obscene, abusive, and/or racist language, gestures, signage or behavior directed towards Game Officials, Directors or visiting team's fans, players or coaching staff will result in immediate removal from the event. The Tournament committee will determine if any future restrictions will be enforced

• Verbal or physical confrontation, including dangerous, abusive or profane behavior is prohibited.

• Disruptive actions or behavior that is unruly, disruptive, or illegal, will result in immediate
removal from the event.

• Signs of alcohol impairment in and around any venue that results in irresponsible behavior will lead to denial of entry
or subject persons to be ejected from the event.

Fans unwilling to abide by the provisions outlined in this Fan Code of Conduct will be subject to ejection.
