With rain in the forecast, please download the app as well as monitor our website for updates. These will be your two sources for information and they will be updated as soon as information is available to us. Please do not expect texts, phone calls and email to be answered if weather becomes an issue as we will be focused on communicating to the entire event.

HELMETS ARE ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY IN THE BATTING CAGES FOR ANY PLAYER!!
EVENT RULES
The head coach of every team is 100% responsible for knowing our rules, and managing their team according to the rules that are posted on our website as well as our phone app. This includes the behavior of their coaches, players and fans.
GATE FEE
** At LANIER POINT, all spectators will pay an individual gate fee as they arrive at the complex each day. (all gate fees are per day)
- $7.00 per Adult
- $5.00 per Seniors 65yrs+ & Kids 10yrs+
- FREE kids under 10yrs
** At SHORTY HOWELL PARK and CITY PARK, each team will pay a team gate fee. This payment is due before you play your first game of the event. It can be paid by card (on our website), VENMO or cash at the park.
BLUE UMPIRE CARDS
During every game, umpires will keep a "blue card" that details your score and inning pitched. At the conclusion of the game, you will sing the card making it OFFICIAL. PLEASE make sure that this card has correct information on it BEFORE signing it. Changes are not made after these cards are submitted to the onsite director and posted, unless it is a data entry error when posting the information.
ROSTERS
Online rosters ARE required to be in our system prior to games beginning on Saturday. See "local" rules for more details.
ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
After this week's event, we will announce the SSP All-Tournament Team from the tournament. Coaches, Umpires, and On-site Directors will have the opportunity to nominate any player on any of the teams in their division. The deadline to submit names will be Monday at 6pm. Coaches can submit names of players from any team in their division. Southern Sports will make the final selections, from the list of nominated players, and the players will be announced mid-week.
COACHES AND PARENTS - DOWNLOAD OUR PHONE APP -
PLEASE have everyone on your team download our phone app at SOUTHERNSPORTSPROMOTIONS. All coaches, and parents who download the app for your team and sign up for alerts, will receive all weather related updates from Southern Sports as well as all scores, scheduling and bracket information. THIS WILL BE THE MAIN METHOD OF COMMUNICATION INCLUDING WEATHER UPDATES.

TO GUARANTEE YOUR SPOT IN THIS EVENT
- All teams must pay in full to secure their team’s spot in this event.
- Teams will have 5 days to make entry fee payment.
- If it is within 7 days of the event, payment is due immediately.
- If the event becomes full, unpaid teams can lose their spots in this event.
TEAM or INDIVIDUAL GATE FEE
Type of gate fee will be determined once schedules are posted and parks are assigned the week of this event.. All teams will pay either a "team" gate fee (prior to the first game) or an "individual" gate fee (as they enter the facility).
1) TEAM GATE FEE - $160.00 per team for the event.
2) INDIVIDUAL GATE FEE (PER DAY) - $7.00 for adults, $5.00 for adults 65+yrs, $5.00 per child over 10yrs old, under 10yrs is FREE.
FORMAT
We always try and divide teams into divisions that are representative of their playing level. This is typically SINGLE A, A/AA and/or AA/AAA divisions. Depending on the number of teams entered, priority will be placed on making the event the most evenly competitive tournament. All teams will play two pool games, and then split into a Sunday single elimination championship bracket. With enough teams entered, division brackets can be separated further into gold, silver, and/or bronze Sunday brackets.
TEAMS CHOOSE DIVISION (at registration)
Each team will select their team's classification (Single A, AA, or AAA), and the division (Single A, A/AA OR AA/AAA) they are requesting to compete in for the event. MAJOR teams are welcome in our events but MUST play one age group above their own, or play in their own designated MAJOR division. Southern Sports reserves the right to change a team's division based on prior results.
AWARDS
RINGS for 1st and 2nd place teams in each division.
SCHEDULING REQUESTS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME
Southern Sports Promotions makes every effort to accommodate a team’s scheduling request. Sometimes requests cannot be honored but we do consider ALL requests.
- Deadline for submitting a scheduling request is Monday night at 8pm.
- Requests must be submitted to sspscheduling@gmail.com.
IF THIS EVENT IS COMPLETELY CANCELED, TEAMS WILL RECEIVE A FULL CREDIT FOR A NEW FUTURE REGISTRATION. IF ANY REFUNDS ARE PROCESSED, AN ADMINISTRATIVE FEE OF $75.00 WILL BE DEDUCTED.
