Southern Sports has a great phone where you can track the event, as well as receive updates/alerts for weather and schedule changes. It is SOUTHERNSPORTSPROMOTIONS. PLEASE download the app AND have your families do the same!! With the potential for weather delays, the phone app is the best tool for ALL families to stay informed.

THE PARK
Getting back to the baseball fields can be a little tricky. Simply enter the park and continue up the hill. Once you pass the pickle ball courts on your left, the next road to the right will take you back to the Yonah Complex about a mile down that road.

GATE FEES FOR THE WEEKEND
As you drive into the Yonah complex, everyone will pay an entry fee. The gate workers are high school students and poor behavior towards them will not be tolerated.

Adults = $10.00 per person per day
Seniors 65yrs+ = $7.00 per person per day
Kids 10yrs and above = $7.00 per person per day
Kids under 10yrs = FREE

We accept cash and cards

TOURNAMENT T--SHIRTS
We have a VERY limited amount of tournament t-shirts available for sale on-site. The cost is $20 per shirt. We accept cash or cards. The shirts will be on sale beginning either late Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. If your team pre-ordered t-shirts, they will be available for pick-up Friday night at the skills contest, as well as throughout the weekend.

CONCESSIONS
We will have various food vendors at the park during the weekend. The standard concession stand will be in operation, and they only accept cash/Venmo but the other food truck type vendors should take cash or credit.

BATTING CAGES
The baseball complex only has two batting cages but there is plenty of field space in the front of the park on the older fields. Please come prepared to use an alternative pre-game warm-up method as the batting cage space is very limited.

THE WEATHER
The potential for rain is in the forecast for this weekend - DOWNLOAD OUR PHONE APP FOR UPDATES ON ANY DELAYS.

The Yonah Complex is equipped with LIGHTNING SENSORS, If the sensor detects lightning in the area, there will be a load horn that will last for several seconds. Once the area is clear, the sensor will make three shorter sounds. We will enter a lightning delay if this is activated, or if our on-site staff makes the decision that lightning is moving into the area. When we enter a delay due to lightning, NO ONE is allowed on the fields, in the cages, or in the dugouts…..no exceptions! Although we cannot manage all families, we also ask that (for safety reasons) everyone seeks shelter in their cars. It is the responsibility of the head coaches to direct their team members on this.

SKILLS CONTEST
The Friday skills contest is scheduled to start Friday at approximately 7:00pm-7:15pm on F1. It is our hope to start by 7:00pm but will depend on the ending of the Friday games on all fields.

CONDUCT/SPORTSMANSHIP
We hope that this weekend will be a great experience for everyone. We must remind everyone of our policy on behavior at our events......below is in our rules...

Southern Sports Promotions, and all facilities we participate at during our events, have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on behavior by players, parents, and coaches. This includes, but is not limited to,
- possession of alcohol on park property
- use of foul language
- any type harassment towards players, parents, coaches, umpires, gate entry personnel, tournament officials, park staff or others
- interference with games
Any individual who conducts themselves in an unsportsmanlike manner is subject to immediate removal from the tournament, and from the park property, without further explanation. All head coaches are responsible for the behavior of their team. If it is deemed necessary, the head coach can be ejected from the game due to behavior of his/her players, parents, coaches, or team spectators. In extreme situations, teams can also forfeit games due to the behavior of their coaches, players, parents or team spectators.
