Due to the overnight storms that hit our park partners, both Forsyth County and the City of Gainesville have closed their fields today.
Unfortunately, all games have been canceled.

At Lanier Point, due to the storms that hit overnight and the rain that is falling at the park right now, all games have been pushed back an hour with the first games not starting until 9am at the earliest. We will have an update on Lanier Point by 7:15am.

NO METAL SPIKES ON TEMPORARY MOUNDS!!

HELMETS ARE ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY IN THE BATTING CAGES FOR ANY PLAYER!!

EVENT RULES
The head coach of every team is 100% responsible for knowing our rules, and managing their team according to the rules that are posted on our website as well as our phone app. This includes the behavior of their coaches, players and fans.

GATE FEE
** At LANIER POINT AND CENTRAL PARK, all spectators will pay an individual gate fee as they arrive at the complex each day. (all gate fees are per day)
- $7.00 per Adult
- $5.00 per Seniors 65yrs+ & Kids 10yrs+
- FREE kids under 10yrs

** At SHORTY HOWELL PARK for Saturday's pool play games, each team will pay a ONE DAY team gate fee of $80. THIS PAYMENT IS DUE BY FRIDAY NIGHT AT 10pm.

BLUE UMPIRE CARDS
During every game, umpires will keep a "blue card" that details your score and inning pitched. At the conclusion of the game, you will sing the card making it OFFICIAL. PLEASE make sure that this card has correct information on it BEFORE signing it. Changes are not made after these cards are submitted to the onsite director and posted, unless it is a data entry error when posting the information.

ROSTERS
Online rosters ARE required to be in our system prior to games beginning on Saturday. See "local" rules for more details.

ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
After this week's event, we will announce the SSP All-Tournament Team from the tournament. Coaches, Umpires, and On-site Directors will have the opportunity to nominate any player on any of the teams in their division. The deadline to submit names will be Monday at 6pm. Coaches can submit names of players from any team in their division. Southern Sports will make the final selections, from the list of nominated players, and the players will be announced mid-week.

COACHES AND PARENTS - DOWNLOAD OUR PHONE APP -
PLEASE have everyone on your team download our phone app at SOUTHERNSPORTSPROMOTIONS. All coaches, and parents who download the app for your team and sign up for alerts, will receive all weather related updates from Southern Sports as well as all scores, scheduling and bracket information. THIS WILL BE THE MAIN METHOD OF COMMUNICATION INCLUDING WEATHER UPDATES.
