City of Dodge City presents

Thank you to all teams that came out and played in the tournament. I will need everyone who participates in NBC HAP dumont state tournaments to email me their NBC Number by the end of the week

Please for those teams that have not paid do not forget to meet with me after your team finishes!

Jackets and sweatshirts will be allowed to be worn, it is preferred if they are worn to be worn under jerseys for umpires and scorekeepers to be able to tell who is who. I do know some instances this may not be the case but I do ask if a scorekeeper or umpire asks who is who the teams without hesitation show the umpires and scorekeepers their jerseys. Please if your jerseys will fit over warm weather gear show your jersey! Stay warm and see everyone tomorrow!

4/16/2021 7:04 PM

Please have your teams ready to go by the third inning of the game before yours. That way if a game gets done early and the umpires are ready to start the next game we will start!

To limit the athletes exposure to the weather we have changed the complete tournament format from single elimination bracket to single elimination games. Your pool play will predict what place you play for in the tournament. I do apologize, and have looked into a later start but after looking at the hourly report it is not much difference between 8 and 9:30 which is the latest I can delay it. We will still start at 8 but instead of having final games at 9:30pm they will be at 7:55pm. Please if you have questions do not hesitate to call or email me.

Gates will open at 7:15 a.m. on saturday. Dress warm and look forward to seeing you all. Safe Travels!

Dear :

The City of Dodge City is excited to kick off our 2021 tournament season. The safety and welfare of the teams, coaches, spectators, officials, staff, and community is of paramount importance. During these difficult times, we want to reassure you that the City has reviewed our processes, operations, and plans to reopen our facilities for tournaments with special precautionary measures to assist in reducing the risk from the COVID-19 virus. We have been in communication with both state and local officials regarding our reopening plan. The City is following guidelines in accordance with the Kansas Recreation & Park Association and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Our decision to reopen is based on a reported downward trajectory of cases in Ford County.

Below is a list of the seven significant precautions taken to reduce risks:

1. There will be plenty of space at Legends Park for patrons to practice safe social distancing.

2. The concession stands will have standing areas marked out to practice safe social distancing.

3. Coach's meetings conducted before games will be umpires and one coach from each team. No players or assistant coaches will be present.

4. Umpire meals will be provided within the umpire locker rooms. Only the umpires will have access to this food; no one except the Tournament Director, who delivers the food, will be in contact with the food.

5. Hand sanitizer will be provided in each of the concession stands, gate and umpires' rooms.

6. There will not be any awards ceremonies. The Tournament Director will hand coaches medals, and team pictures will be at the discretion of coaches and parents.

7. Coaches, players, or spectators are not required to wear masks. It is recommended to continue maintaining a safe distance at the concessions, bleacher, and walking paths at the complex.

We greatly appreciate your consideration. We are anxious to have you return to the ballpark for the 2021 Tournament season. If you have additional questions and concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at (620) 255-0099 and
