KEARSLEY SLAM-O-RAMA hosted by GFABSA Documents
Please have your teams ready to play 30 minutes before game times. We are going to run as far ahead of schedule as possible. The rain is going to move in early afternoon and we want to try to play all bracket games!!!
Sorry for the delay in setting the brackets. I had to manually seed several of the divisions due to very close tie breakers. Every bracket is finalized. Please double check your brackets now to make sure you are 100% sure of your game times and locations.
Please be aware that there will be several fields with only 1 umpire on Saturday. We are having a serious issue trying to fill 2 man crews for all fields. Sunday we should be able to get 2 man crews for all bracket games. Know that the umps we do have for 1 man will still do a good job.

Alcoholic beverages/tobacco products are not allowed within the gated complex at Whaley Park. Alcoholic beverages/tobacco products are not allowed on school grounds at Kearsley at any time.
All teams will need to check upon arrival to their first tournament game. This will be to verify insurance, payments, rosters, and rules. You will need to locate the site director.
COOLERS, GRILLS & PETS:
Teams are allowed to bring coolers and grills to the parks; however, grills are not allowed through the main gates of the field complex at Whaley Park. They will need to remain in the parking lot/team areas.
Pets are not allowed at any of the parks unless they are licensed service animals or you have prior approval from the tournament director.
GATE FEE: NO GATE FEE!
In the case of a forfeit, we will follow the USSSA rules about enforcement and runs scored etc…
Visitors may park on the grass areas at both Kearsley HS and Whaley Park; however, understand this area is very soft in the spring and you take a chance of getting stuck. Vehicles that get stuck in the mud/grass areas are fully responsible for removing their vehicle from the area. GFABSA workers do not have time to help pull any vehicles out.
This is a USSSA tournament and we will be inputting the scores and innings pitched into the USSSA system. All scores must be verified by both coaches with the score official/GFABSA scorer responsible for your game. Please refer to the USSSA rules for guidance on how to change a score that is input into the system inaccurately.
There is an elevated chance we experience short periods of bad weather this weekend. We will make every attempt to play every game on the schedule. Please know that we would use the USSSA tiebreaker formulas to seed championship games and/or announce winners, in the event we cannot play all pool or bracket play games.
Order of procedure on weather delays:
Postpone games until field conditions improve
Shorten time limits in order to play all scheduled games
Eliminate pool play games and advance to bracket games
Use tiebreaker formulas to play a championship game only
Cancel all games and use the tiebreaker formula to determine champion and runner up.
COACHES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR UNDERSTANDING ANY/ALL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS COACHES PACKET. THEY ARE ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY/ALL USSSA PLAYING RULES.
